Nancy R. Chiswick, PhD
Dr. Chiswick received her A.B. degree from Smith College
and her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from The University of Illinois (Chicago). She did her internship in Clinical
Child Psychology at the Children's Memorial Hospital at Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Chiswick
has been a clinical staff psychologist for the Mental Health Center at The Pennsylvania State University and a
mental retardation specialist with The Counseling Service and Base Service Unit of Centre County, and is the
Founding President of the Child, Adult, & Family Psychological Center, P.C., Inc. Dr. Chiswick served as a
Delegate-at-Large to the White House conference on Families. She is an Allied Health Professional at Centre
Community Hospital, a Consulting Psychologist at The Meadows Psychiatric Center, and an Adjunct Professor of
Human Development at The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Chiswick is licensed to practice psychology in
Pennsylvania, and she is a member of The National Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology, the American
Psychological Association, and the Pennsylvania Psychological Association. She is also a Fellow of the Pennsylvania
Psychological Association and listed in Who's Who in American Women. She is experienced in individual, marital,
and family psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults; she also provides a group therapy program for
adolescents and adults. Dr. Chiswick maintains a special interest in women's issues and the needs of women
suffering from depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
