Kristen M. Kelly, PhD, APRN-BC

Dr. Kelly received her bachelors degree in philosophy from Wellesley College, her
certificate and master’s degree in nursing from Yale University, and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology
from the City University of New York. Her training at Yale University/Yale-New Haven Hospital,
included a formal sub-specialization in the assessment and treatment of individuals and families
experiencing psychological difficulties arising during physical illnesses and hospitalizations. Dr. Kelly
was employed from 1994 to 2001 at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, where she provided
clinical supervision, staff education and consultation services. While at the City University of New York,
Dr. Kelly conducted research with mothers and infants, focusing on how parental cognitive-affective attributions influence parent-child interactions. In addition to being an associate at the Child, Adult &
Family Psychological Center, she currently provides clinical services and supervision at the Penn State Psychological Clinic. Her areas of specialization include the treatment of individuals from diverse
backgrounds experiencing anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders, ongoing medical problems,
and significant interpersonal difficulties.
