Today was fun. I enjoyed doing a city ride to The Arch, exploring the neighborhoods and stopping along the way for ice cream sodas.
Notice the painted building in the left foreground - it has Saint Louis
printed on the front.
Photo of Sandra.
With the sun gleaming on it.
The best time to go, she said, was first thing in the morning, or at sunset.
As I said a wonderful tour guide.
Of course we took the ride to the top.
Just to look out the windows, take some photos and admire the great views of
Illinois and Missouri.
St. Louis Cardinals' stadium.
Nice view of a back lit court house.
A helicopter down below.
I took the liberty of doctoring this photo a little in Photoshop.
Shadow photo in the Mississippi River.
The Mississippi River is a very busy place.
Sandra and her old fashioned giant camera.
She carried this on her bike.
Another shadow photo.
This buidling had significance - Sandra told me about it, but I forgot.
Still though it's cool with the setting sun poking through the architeture.
Wide angle.
Long barge.
You can see the brown grass when the Mississippi flooded earlier in the
summer.
All of the cars, flags, and first 10 steps were under water.
You can see the tiny windows across the top of The Gateway Arch.
Because The Arch is a reflective silver metal, it picks up the colors of the setting sun.
And lights of the city.
We rode home in the dark empty streets to another brewery for dinner.
These photos are great, I want to see more STL photos.
Thanks, please take me back to the main page.
