Thanksgiving Day Ride

Thursday, November 24, 2005
The weather was perfect for cycling and being outside.

Potter Park - Casey Key

7:30 AM; the SMBC'ers join forces with the YHAMMERit?s and the Potter Park group is ready to roll.

7:32 AM; from the other side.
The group is so large, that we actually split into two groups.
Melinda's group rides out to Laurel Rd. and our group rides south to Casey Key.

Bonnie and Gary arrive at the North Jetty.
I didn't even know that Ken took this photo, pretty sneaky.

The rest of the second group arrives too.

The Three Musketeers; Yarnall, Bonnie and Gina.
(I should have left my sunglasses on for the full effect)

Three more Musketeers; Yarnall, Gina and Mark.

Ron and Ken suck in their guts.
Not, I think they both look great (for their age) = ).
Ken wrote the thing about their guts on his webpage.

The Casey Key drawbridge is a great time for a group photo op.
The front of the group; Mark, Gary, Gina, Yarnall and Ken

And the back of the group.
Lois and Jerry Huffman.

Y and B.

While taking the victory loop in Stoneybrook we spot several turtles.
From this vantage point they kind of look like turkey vultures.
I just think that I had turkey on my brain.
This ride smelled really good while riding around the neigborhoods.

And a few alligators too.

And yes they were really that close.

.
And a whole lot of birds.

The entire photo.
Pretty amazing being able to crop in that close with a 7.2 mega pixel camera.

Do you smell fire?
We did and then the fire truck zoomed through the neighborhood and the neighbors came out to watch the firemen put the fire out.
No home cooked barbequed turkey for these neighbors.
Is the club open tonight?

Many thanks to Ken for remembering to bring his camera and letting me confiscate it.
Great photos, Ken.
