Belgrade Lakes, ME

August 1 - August 5, 2007

Mom's 65th Birthday Family Weekend
You see there was this really big "lake" called The Great Pond - the largest pond in North America.

Mom's actual birthday was July 28th.

Joshua and Zachary eat their lunch (Ramen Noodles) by the pond.

Kayla, 16 months, sporting her very stylish sun n swim n life preserve.

Good-looking Grandma.

No words are necessary, except it's good to be young.

Talia organizes some noodles.

Talia ponders the pond.

Zachary and Joshua pose from afar.

Zachary finds a clam.

Joshua and 'the beach'.

Mom, enjoys the water.

Talia try's out the raft.

A pensive, Talia.
Maybe she's watching the seaplane.

There was always a flurry of activity on The Great Pond.
A white seaplane circles around us and lands on The Great Pond.

A black seaplane follows suit a while later.

A few ducks.

The Beach and a duck.

Back at the house with Mom on the dock.

Pond party.

Liz with Talia and Joshua try out the raft, that later became the stage.

Self-timer on dock with my nephews.

My only photo of a real live loon - the birds that howled and sounded like ghosts at night.

Yeah, I'm a cute kid.

Must run in the family.

Rita and Mom, bathing beauties on the raft.

Take me to boating, hiking, sailing, eating, rafting, waterskiing.

Take me back to Maine.
