Belgrade Lakes, ME

August 1 - August 5, 2007

Mom's 65th Birthday Family Weekend
The sun rose from the east at 4:45am, where I found myself wrapped up in my quilt
watching the colors change on the water and the trees light up behind me.
The sunsets were cool too.

First sunset photo on Wednesday night.

First sunrise photo on Thursday morning.

No words are necessary.

Yes, I am in the hammock. A favorite place to chill.

I am speechless.

The trees that align the entire shore.

The sun settles on the pond after a day of boating.

Nice.

Very nice indeed.

Pink sunrise on Sunday morning.

Close-up.

With tree framing.

Another blow-up.

Creates a mood doesn’t it?

It takes a while for the sun to show itself.

But it's worth it, when it does.

Fire in the sky.

Close-up.

Might blow this one up too.

And the day begins.

With a burst of light.

Remember that first sunset photo - almost the same photo in the sunrise.

And the treeline too.

One last look back before I head up the stairs.

Shadow photos are my trademarks.

Sunset from the plane window.

One of the reasons why I usually fly from the window seat.

Cool cloud formation.

Take me to boating, hiking, eating, rafting, sailing, waterskiing.

Take me back to Maine.
