Suwannee River: SBA Spring Hop

Hal Adams Bridge to Adams Tract River Camp

June 6, 2009

9:00am meeting at Luraville Country Store (SR 51).
Travel to boat ramp, vehicle shuttle to stage the cars.

The ladies with the Hal Adams Bridge.
Sharon, Mari, Nancy, Sue, Nan, Bonnie

Old swing train bridge makes for some interesting navigating around the 3 mile an hour river flow.

A nice cloudy day, along a five mile an hour 15 mile paddle.

Possible club house for sale.

The river is 9ft above normal.

When the river is at a normal level, there is a spring at this location.

The current.

Very calming.

A few river inhabitants.

Waiting for the ramp to clear.

You Are Here!
Adams Tract River Camp.

At 10ft, my boat is too short to rest with the others.

Our sleeping platforms.
They came complete with ceiling fans, lights and benches.

Mari, Sue and Edwin (our fearless leader).

Just in case you wanted to leave by car.

Michael and Melinda unpack.

Enjoying some comforts of home.

I like this photo.

Andy entertains us.

Nancy makes salad.

Melinda does a jig while making hers.

A summer treat.

Grilling dinner in the rain.

Sue and Mark enjoy their Hobo Stew.

Dinner never tasted so good.

Michael enjoys Melinda's blueberry pie.

Washing dishes in the rain.

Raining.

Take me to Day 2.
