Promoting your Web Site

One of the simplest and most cost effective ways to promote you web site is through the use of material you probably already have. Make sure all newly printed materials include your URL information.

Letterhead & Envelopes

Include your URL and email address on your resume, cover letter, thank you letter and envelopes for all your correspondence. By including this information you're announcing the address for a virtual location of your business.

Business Cards

Business cards are the most cost effective communication tool around. This tiny card can fit a wealth of information on it and be carried around in a pocket. Your URL should appear on every business card you print.

E-mail Signatures

Signatures are text that can appear at the end of every outgoing message. Most e-mail programs support the inclusion of a custom signature at the bottom of each e-mail message you send. You should already be using this feature to promote your name and contact information. But you can also be using it to promote you web site by including its complete URL in the signature. This is a great, free way to spread the word to people who probably already have internet access.
