Tour Eiffel
Built in 1889 and designed by engineer Gustave Eiffel. The world's tallest building
until 1931, when the Empire State building was completed. On a clear day, from the third level,
899 ft above the ground, it is possible to see for 45 miles, including a distant view of
Chartres Cathedral.
