32nd Annual Mount Dora Bicycle Festival
Sunday, October 15, 2006

Florida's oldest and largest Bicycling event.

Welcome to historic Mount Dora.

Sunrise, 7:03 AM.

Mount Dora, FL Chamber of Commerce

First self timer photo; Bonnie and Terry.

Florida Scorpion, (not able to produce a fatal sting).

Terry's first sky prism.

Blue Heron at Lake Dora.

Just a nice morning photo on Lake Dora.

Self timer photo #2.

Close-up of the Mangroves.

An interesting place to put a bird house.

Tangerine, FLORIDA  32777

Terry rides underneath the Florida Central Railroad, no longer in business.

Shadow photo.

This is how I met Terry at the MS 150. He does the same to Chris from Venice on this hill.

Love the contrast of color of the Florida clay with the green trees.

North Thrill Hill Rd.
An 18 mile loop through rural countryside with a few gently rolling hills and a roller coaster thrill hill.
This was a great fun hill, I could've done hill repeats on this all day.

I'm very glad to meet someone as crazy as me.

The great photo that Terry took of me.

Chris and I catch our breath at the top of Thrill Hill. You can see Terry in the reflection of my glasses.

A wall mural of the Lake Dora Lighthouse.

Wall mural in town.

Terry and Karen.

Me, enjoying a donut from Karen.

Chris, her husband and a friend from Venice.

A bike limo for four riders. Notice how low the second seat is.

Morning Glory hangs from a trellis.

Our bikes take a rest.

The presence of Autumn in Florida.

These guys were trying to eat their breakfast.

One of my favorite signs.

As I learned in Sebring; these pretty but itchy Lantana flowers are toxic.

Terry, at the end the road, thus the end of our journey.

Terry's bike leans against my car, with motorcycles in the background.
Mt. Dora is a meca for all vehicles on two wheels (motorcycles and bicycles).

Terry and Karen's SUV and a clean and shinny oil truck travel south on I-75.

Many thanks to Terry for showing up and for putting up with all of the photos
(though he never did smile for the camera) and to Karen for her hospitality, good conversation and her donuts.
