Happy Birthday to Rita!
Flagler to Daytona Beach
On Tuesday we rode from Bulow Plantation to Flagler Beach and then on to the
bustling city of Daytona Beach.
Rita and I wear our matching Hawaii jerseys.
Susan and Jerry figure out a 'shortcut' to catch the ride from our hotel.
It's very nice that these guys are here; but they look
bored out of their minds.
Paulette and her husband from Bike Florida 2005.
I really like their jerseys
from Cycle Zydeco in New Orleans and add it to my lists of rides to do.
Beach flower at Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area.
Self-timer along the Atlantic.
Notice the red sand. Not really sand, but tiny red rocks that stick to your
skin.
These pelicans were showing off and giving quite a display of how to do a
proper paceline.
Close-up.
Not a good place to go for a swim.
Highbridge Road, Tomoka State Park. Scenic Highway.
I almost forgot about being allergic to Florida grass beside the road.
Snapped this photo, got a little itchy and left before any weed bugs could get me.
PB&J.
Peanut, peanut butter & jelly. Spread!
Daytona Beach.
Just a silly photo at the Jackie Robinson Park.
Daytona has a lot of bridges.
Good photo taken by Crystal.
Close-up of the big bridge.
Having fun with the self-timer.
My bike seat made a good table for the camera.
This was a really good lunch place (Avocado's) recommended by the lady at
the rest stop.
John and Sandy show up just in time for a photo.
Diane; hard at work.
Ah, a massage for a hard days work. Hey, I'm on vacation!
Thanks, Heidi for taking a cute photo.
I meet Rita at our hotel. I arrive in time for a pizza snack with Jerry and Susan and Rita. Later we eat a Japanese dinner across the street and do some shopping at K-mart.
Take me to Day 4.
